Classroom Project to Startup
September 2023: Inception at Jacobs School of Engineering Vertiband was born as a magnetic wrist strap concept for exercise bands during a classroom project advised by Dr. Nate Delson, Ph.D.
February 2024: Startup Incubation at Blackstone Launchpad Evolved into a startup and joined the Blackstone Launchpad for incubation, marking the official beginning of Vertiband’s journey towards accessibility and independence in fitness.
March 2024: Recognition and Funding Awarded $2500 in funding grants at Blackstone Launchpad and further recognized with a $1500 grant from the Norman Design Fund for its groundbreaking innovation in human-centered design.
May 2024: Beta Testing Completion Vertiband successfully completed beta testing of its revolutionary workout system, garnering continuous love and support from its champions, the initial beta testers who embraced the product’s potential.
Future: Expanding Horizons With a solid foundation laid during beta testing, Vertiband is poised to embark on a transformative journey, touching the lives of many and redefining the landscape of accessible fitness.
